Bereavement Ministry

New Hope Baptist Church Funeral Procedures

  1. Notification of the Church Office

    1. In the event of the passing of a member of our church family, promptly notify the church office at (601) 366-7002 or contact the family's assigned deacon.

    2. The assigned deacon will communicate with the church office and provide the designated family representative and their contact information.

  2. Pastoral Support

    1. The Pastor will personally contact the designated family member to offer spiritual support and guidance.

  3. Bereavement Committee Assignment

    1. After speaking with the family, the Pastor will assign a representative from the Bereavement Committee to assist the family in making arrangements for the Homegoing Service.

Please Note: Individual members should not contact the Bereavement Committee representative before the Pastor has spoken with the family. This ensures the church leadership can provide compassionate and organized care.

New Hope is dedicated to walking alongside our members with love, support, and prayer during times of loss.
